Connecting your webcam
There are two different ways to connect your webcam or IP camera to webcam.io:
Pull from an URL
By using the pull mode, you need to make your camera available via internet, so that we can pull the current image from a given URL.
You can also copy the image to a server we can reach by URL.
Push via FTP
This is the preferred mode, and more reliable and secure (you don't need to make a connection to your IP camera available).
Most IP cameras have a FTP upload mode (sometimes it is hidden somewhere in motion and security settings). The camera will push the current image to our FTP server at a defined interval.
